Brewed with Czech barley and hops using a traditional triple decoction method. The result is a beer with a solid malt-derived flavor, a pleasant herbal aroma, and a firm bitterness.

This is the first time we at Setouchi have used a triple decoction. By employing decoction—an old-world brewing method from an era before modern equipment—the very components of the malt are transformed, adding a full-bodied sweetness and rich flavor to the beer.

We generously used only 100% Czech-grown Saaz hops. This contributes a solid aroma and bitterness that creates a harmonious, savory (umami) beer that perfectly balances the rich malt character.

The label motif is Plzeň (Pilsen), the birthplace of the Pilsner. From its ingredients and brewing process to the label itself, this product truly embodies the spirit of a historical beer.
